Delicious, fresh empanadas and tequenos, along with some of the best orange juice I've ever had. Wonderful atmosphere and interior, too. Will definitely be back again in future.
We ordered the Pabellon Criollo and an Arepa Pabellon today and it was super tasty, great value for money and filling too! This really opened me up to Venezuelan food and has made me keen to try more. Definitely one of my regular go-to spots in Newcastle from now on and the owners are so lovely and friendly as well, made us really feel welcome. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for something new and unique to try. I just wish they opened a little later on weekdays, so I can come here for dinner with my friends after work.

Absolutely delicious food and incredible service. The place is perfectly placed in city center. We had arepas for our lunch. Super quick and the arepas were amazing. Very generous serving as well . They are local so it's a small business which is great to help towards to. Wide variety of drinks as well, will recommend the papelon con limon which is a drink known from Venezuela (south American) I will be coming often here. There's also a good choice of drinks including hot cafe drinks, soft drinks, fresh juices and homemade Venezuelan lemonade. The arepas are fresh, tasty and packed with filling. The churros are very good too. There are bottles of Tabasco on the tables inside for those who like to add a bit of heat. The prices are not cheap, but not too excessive either. Inside there is plenty of seating including bar stools at the window for those who want to people-watch. The decor is basic but the space is clean and bright, and there are some nice houseplants dotted around. The owner is friendly and provides service with a smile!
Really enjoyed this place. My first venture into Venezuelan food at this simple cafe. - arepa caraquena: so tasty, rich and meaty. - empanada: crispy and delicious. -churros: huge portion, fluffy and crunchy - frescolita: like a sweet irn bru soda The owners are very friendly.
Such a great spot! Me and my boyfriend first tried Venezuelan food in Barcelona over the summer, so we were so glad to find a place much closer to home! The food is just delicious, and the owners are lovely. Can’t wait to come back again!
